In our recent meeting on July 29, 2023, we, the Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua, along with the Rotary Club Norden from Germany, reaffirmed our ongoing support for in total 33 young students. With a total of 12 sponsored by us and 25 by the Rotary Club Norden, almost every student was present to receive our financial support at the Kerti Praya Foundation.

Two, whose joy is clearly visible on their faces,...and one who still can't quite believe his luck.

In a poignant ceremony, we presented each of the young individuals with a cash donation of 1,300,000 IDR to assist with their personal or family needs. Considering that our students hail from various parts of Bali, where this sum often equates to a full month's salary, this was a substantial aid. The expressions of gratitude on the students' faces were priceless.

Someone is really happy! ☺️☺️☺️

They expressed their thanks through a handshake to Henny Udy and Hugh Brown from the Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua, as well as Dr. Putri from the Kerti Praya Foundation. The youngest among them was just 11 years old. Some were shy, others couldn't hide their joy and shared their beaming smiles with us. These moments serve as a powerful reminder of why we engage as Rotarians.

We also discussed the importance of completing SMA education and encouraged the students to study hard and finish their studies. Completing SMA is a critical step for a successful future as it paves the way for a career path and enables them to support their families.

Our meeting was not only an occasion for support, but also a spur for the students to feel grateful for the opportunity that Rotary Club Nusa Dua and Rotary Club Norden have enabled through these donations. This is a privilege that few students have access to, and it fills us with pride to contribute to such a cause.

The broad impact of our efforts is reflected in the origins of our scholars who come from different villages such as Singaraja, Negara, and Karangasem. Our aid is a necessary support for education in these areas and an expression of our devotion as Rotarians. These meetings are at the heart of our work, and we look forward to hopefully many more years of collaboration and support.

The Rotary Club of Bali Nusa Dua would like to thank Henny Udy and Hugh Brown for all their efforts for this great project. ❤️❤️❤️

We would like to extend our gratitude to all our sponsors!

In particular, we want to express our profound appreciation to all the members of the Rotary Club Norden in Germany for their truly remarkable support!
