Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua’s Signature Cleft Lip and Palate Program
Since the Rotary year 1994-1995, Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua (RCBND) has been transforming lives by providing cleft lip and palate surgeries to children and young adults in Bali and neighboring islands. To date, we have performed over 2,400 surgeries, bringing hope to underprivileged families at a total cost of more than IDR 15 billion.
Initially, the program was funded through club resources, but in the past two decades, the majority of funding has come from three matching grants and five global grants. During periods between grants, RCBND continued the program with club funds to ensure uninterrupted care for patients.
Our latest Global Grant, awarded in March 2023, is our largest to date, with a total value of USD 255,715. This grant will enable us to continue providing life-changing surgeries through March 2025.
