Annual Golf Tournament
Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua 20th Anniversary Golf Tournament: Saturday 1st October, 2022
In 2002, Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua held its Inaugural Golf Tournament at the then Bali Golf and Country Club – now reborn as the fabulous Bali National Golf Club. It was an immediate success, and has evolved into probably the best-known and most anticipated event on the Bali golfing calendar, attracting golfers and Sponsors alike from all over Indonesia, and overseas.
The tournament this year will be an even more special one, marking the 20th Anniversary of its inception, and its return after two loooong years under pandemic “hibernation”.
The Tournament achieves several crucial functions in Rotary’s year. First and foremost, it is the single most important Fundraiser in the year for us, generating the biggest amount to assist us in fulfilling our commitment to the disadvantaged in Bali and beyond. It raises awareness of Rotary, its purpose, its projects, and its many generous Sponsors.
Our Sponsors’ unfailing generosity contributes to the continuing success of our projects, like our Cleft Lip and Palate surgeries (which have now surpassed 2000 patients receiving this life-altering procedure), assistance to Yayasan Puspadi with their Prosthetic Limb work with children and adults otherwise financially constrained from such assistance, and substantial Scholarships to children to complete High School and to attain Higher Education qualifications. Scholarships are offered to financially struggling families, to children with disabilities which hinder their further progress, and to children showing academic ability otherwise denied a Higher education place.
The Tournament also offers our generous Sponsors an excellent vehicle to further their own Community Service, “paying back” for the prosperity their businesses or families have enjoyed. They promote their businesses in various ways on the day, knowing their contribution adds to the day’s success and the programs of Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua.
Finally, of course, it provides a great day (and evening) for the participants, with competition, camaraderie, and the opportunity to contribute- by participating in the raffles, auctions, and fundraisers of the day.
