Bali Burn & Trauma Centre
After the first Bali Bombing in October 2002, Friends of Bali in Hong Kong (FBHK) raised some HKD180,000 to help victims then contacted and entrusted RCBND to assist in finding a productive, accountable and transparent way to use the funds.
After nearly a year of interviewing and reviewing many dozens of charitable organizations on Bali RCBND made contact with AUS-AID which had
just finished building the Trauma and Burn Treatment Center at Sanglah Hospital in
Denpasar. The building was complete but without any medical utensils to treat patients. RCBND provided the funds given to it by FBHK to AUSaid which in turn purchased and imported the utensils allowing the center to open and commence operation.
