A new Rotary year has begun, and the Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua celebrated this with a spectacular Handover Dinner. On June 23, 2023, members, friends, and acquaintances gathered at the legendary National Golf Club in Nusa Dua to reflect on the past year and celebrate the transition of the presidency.

The event started with a warm welcome on the terrace, which offered a breathtaking view overlooking the golf course. As guests enjoyed the panorama, delicious finger foods such as prawns and chicken, wine, cocktails and others were served. The pleasant atmosphere and excellent food created the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening.

Several highlights were celebrated before the dinner began. Jimmy Sim, Paul, and Sari Wooster were officially inducted as members of the prestigious Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua. Each of them received the legendary Rotary pin, which was attached to their clothing by their mentors. In brief speeches, all three expressed their joy at being part of this esteemed club.

Another remarkable moment was the appointment of Andre Pury as an honorary member. Andre received a 'Certificate of Appreciation' meticulously prepared and framed by Mr. Wes. In a touching speech, Andre shared his experiences and memories from his active membership, deeply impressing all attendees and highlighting the value of the members in the Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua.

President Martin Smyth took the opportunity to thank everyone present for an incredibly successful Rotary year. It was a moment of recognition and appreciation for the collective work and dedication of each individual.

A special honor was given to Widya Frenzel, who was honored with a pin set with two sapphires. This distinction is reserved for members who make exceptional financial contributions for the benefit of the community. Widya was recognized for her generous commitment, for which we would like to express our sincere gratitude.

Our charming and witty emcee, Ralf, skillfully guided the evening, providing entertainment and a joyful atmosphere. Additionally, numerous raffle tickets were sold, with the proceeds benefiting the diverse projects of the Rotary Club. The generous support from all attendees is invaluable and will contribute to the success of the upcoming year.
Undoubtedly, the highlight of the evening was the appointment of Matthias Frenzel as the new President of the Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua for the year 2023/24. In his speech, Matthias expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and introduced the new board that will support him during his tenure.

The evening concluded with a delicious dinner and many inspiring moments. The attendees left the National Golf Club with a sense of gratitude and anticipation for the upcoming Rotary year.
On July 1, 2023 marked the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the Rotary Club of Bali Nusa Dua. Throughout its 30+ year tradition, the club has always tried to initiate new projects and find solutions to community challenges. The club can be proud of its members and their commitment to a better world.
The Rotary Club of Bali Nusa Dua's handover dinner was undoubtedly a memorable evening filled with joy, recognition and a sense of community. It was a moment of celebrating the past, being grateful for what has been achieved and looking forward to a promising future.
